  16. controversy by shooting four black youths who he claimed were
  17. menacing him in a New York City subway car; with testicular
  18. cancer; in New York City. Acquitted of attempted murder and
  19. assault but convicted of carrying an unlicensed handgun, Goetz
  20. served eight months in prison. Darrell Cabey, partially
  21. paralyzed by one of Goetz's shots, is suing him for $50 million.
